I'm a guide for people who are ready to stop searching outside themselves — and start remembering what they already know.

I'm Alex. A certified Wayfinder Life Coach, remembrance guide, and multi-passionate creator and curator rooted (for now) in Oakland, California — the city that made me and the one I found my way back to.

My work lives at the intersection of intuition, embodiment, slow, cyclical living, and the quiet courage it takes to trust yourself when the path isn't clear. I support people in reconnecting with their true nature — which, I've come to understand, is inseparable from nature itself.

Where I come from

I grew up in Oakland with an architect father and a mother who boldly pivoted from occupational therapist to interior design entrepreneur. From them I inherited an understanding that creativity isn't a merely talent — it's a way of being. A willingness to look at what exists and ask: what else is possible here?

After eleven years building a life in Seattle, I took my own medicine. I leaped. I traded comfort for an open question and spent the better part of two years living nomadically — between California, Idaho, Denmark, and England — chasing a vision of a life that felt more wholly mine.

Those two years were the most destabilizing, yet most clarifying of my life. I lived inside the liminal space I now hold for others.

I learned what it actually feels like to not know. To be mid-crossing with no visible shore. To release a version of yourself that no longer fits and wait, in the in-between, for the next one to arrive. I sat with uncertainty long enough to stop trying to solve for it — and found, on the other side, something steadier than certainty. Trust.

Eventually, and somewhat unexpectedly, the path curved home. Back to Oakland, back to my roots, back to myself. The return felt as significant as the departure — maybe more so. It always does.

The work

I'm a certified Wayfinder Life Coach, trained through Martha Beck's ICF-accredited program. The Wayfinder approach is built on integrity, imagination, and the body's wise inner knowing. It aligned with everything I already believed about how real change happens: not through willpower, but through attunement.

What I believe

We are nature. Not separate from it. When we slow down and attune to natural rhythms — the seasons, the body, the cycles of the earth — clarity becomes available that the busy mind can't reach.

I believe that the messy middle is not a detour from the path. It is the path. That living joyfully and intentionally doesn't require having it figured out — it requires honesty, presence, slowing down, and a willingness to listen inward before you act.

I believe serendipities are the universe’s way on confirming we’re on the right path. That finding or cultivating beauty in our everyday is not a luxury — it's a necessity. And that when we move from a place of genuine inner alignment, life begins to flow with an ease we couldn't manufacture from the outside.

An invitation

If something in these words made you exhale — if you felt a quiet yes somewhere in your body — I'd love to meet you. That recognition is usually where the work begins.
